What would you say is your first port of call when you want to learn something you? The internet? Bingo! You’re already onto a winner.
But, where exactly on the internet would you go? Would you just look at the first search result? Would you go to YouTube? How about jumping into an app store, or grabbing a podcast?
Knowing exactly where to go and who to trust is one of the hardest things. Most of us are likely to ask a trustworthy friend but then we’re relying on the quality of their source. The truth is, there are so many resources out there to teach us how cryptocurrency works, the difference between Bitcoin and “Thatcoin”, Ethereum and Ripple; it can become easily confusing.
So, how about if we told you that there is one central source you can consult that summarises all of the excellent resources, from books to podcasts, online courses, forums, websites, documentaries, and many more… the infographic below summarises all of these in one handy, central location.
Let’s pick one out just to give you an idea—the Unchained podcast, as an example. Laura Shin heads this podcast, and learning by listening to others can be an incredibly efficient way of absorbing information… when you listen to others discussing topics, especially on something so new such as cryptocurrency, you get a feeling of their passion and knowledge on the subject.
Books are such an excellent resource since you can pick them up and put them down whenever you need to, but you do miss out on a certain level of passion from someone’s tone of voice. Some of the more popular cryptocurrency books are Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos, Cryptoassets by Jack Tatar and Chris Burniske, and The Internet of Money, again by Andreas Antonopoulos.
But, the best thing to do is to check out these resources and decide for yourself which one, or multiples of these, is best suited to you.
