Amazon recently announced that is acquiring Ring, a startup that specializes in smart-camera-equipped doorbells for homes.
It is reported that Amazon will pay more than $1 Billion for Ring.
Ring’s doorbells are equipped with cameras and audio equipment, and they can easily work with voice-enabled smart-home devices to add to that experience and take it to the next level. You can chat with people at your front door remotely.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos hinted at acquisitions like this one in the company’s most recent earnings release.

All these devices are coming to homes at a very fast pace and the security issues with some of them remain as companies race to be first to the market, security is not always the first priority.
