Due to the success and value growth of Bitcoin, the market has seen many alternate cryptocurrencies being introduced over the years.
As shown by the historical Coinmarketcap snapshots below, the top ten change over time as some drop-off and others join the list. No surprise that Bitcoin is the one that remains supreme and coins such as Litecoin, Ripple, Maidsafecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and Ethereum are juggling for various places on list.
Interesting to note that the Bitcoin price has grown 400% since April 2015 with the price reaching $236 to $1178 and a $3 billion market cap to $19 billion.
