Will Facebook go Crypto or will they miss the Mark?

When Mark Zuckerberg took to Facebook to lay out some of the goals he hopes the popular social media company will accomplish over the course of this year he did not really think that the media [fake news] would interpret that as Facebook integrating Bitcoin.

Read the false story here in the Independent has since been taken down.

What Mark actually did was bring up the topic of decentralization and using such technologies as a “force that puts more power in people’s hands.”

“Many people now believe technology only centralizes power rather than decentralizes it,” he continued. “There are important counter-trends to this – like encryption and cryptocurrency – that take power from centralized systems and put it back into people’s hands.”

“I’m interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how best to use them in our services.”

So despite the fact that Zuckerberg never even mentioned the word Bitcoin, The Independent went on to interpret this statement that Facebook consider introducing Bitcoin integration in the near future.
So the truth is Facebook is not going to integrate Bitcoin soon and Fake News, strikes again.

No wonder the Donald is pissed…
