Your own email is spying on you!

Did you know that your own email account might be spying on you?

As reported on WIRED:

“I just came across this email,” began the message, a long overdue reply. But I knew the sender was lying. He’d opened my email nearly six months ago. On a Mac. In Palo Alto. At night.

I knew this because I was running the email tracking service Streak, which notified me as soon as my message had been opened. It told me where, when, and on what kind of device it was read. With Streak enabled, I felt like an inside trader whenever I glanced at my inbox, privy to details that gave me maybe a little too much information. And I certainly wasn’t alone.

As can be seen from the story above the tracking of email is potentially a grave danger for consumers and a massive breach of privacy. Not only can private information be obtained but your location can be tracked as well.

Not a pretty picture and the worst thing is anyone can download a tracking service like Streak and start tracking friends, family, co-workers, a spouse, whoever you want.

So what can be done about Email tracking?

There are a few applications that you can download to try and stop tracking but none of these are failsafe and some have massive security flaws. Using a VPN [ Virtual Private Network ] is also not foolproof against this type of tracking..

Blockchain brings the solution

Embedded Downloads, the developers of the world’s first crypto communicator, the BitVault® uses blockchain technology and encryption to ensure that your emails and messages are secure, private and that none of it can be tracked.

According to the company, secure messages transmitted by the BitVault® cannot be tracked as the BitVault® has a closed looped communication environment where none of these tracking applications or malware can be loaded.

The BitVault® uses blockchain technology, public / private key cryptography and a closed communication loop to ensure integrity of all data sent or received by the BitVault®

The company realises that a BitVault® might not be in reach of the average consumer and is currently developing secure email and messaging applications that will take technology that have been developed for the BitVault® to consumers and will be available on your favourite mobile or desktop device.

These applications will utilize blockchain technology, multi-layered encryption and EOT [ Encryption of Things ] cryptocurrency to enable this.
