Brazil Regulatory Authorities crack down on tax

The Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB) has released new rules requiring that cryptocurrency exchanges inform the RFB about their users’ transactions in order to identify tax fraud.   This isn’t the first example of regulatory authorities cracking down on tax. For instance, in the US, the IRS expects every individual’s cryptocurrency transactions to be reported and taxable gains calculated.
