DA Plea to Multichoice, Show the RWC for free – Give the People What they Deserve

In a stunning turn of events the Democratic Alliance has made a plea to Multichoice to provide the Rugby World Cup games to SABC “for free”.

It was reported earlier that fans are furious because they will not be able to see the games on SABC.

In the spirit of nation-building, MultiChoice should at the very least consider sharing games in which the Springboks are playing with the public broadcaster.  This will go a long way in demonstrating goodwill to the people of South Africa and contributing to nation-building.”

The 1995 Rugby World Cup played an important role in uniting South Africans at a critical time in our democracy. And in that spirit, MultiChoice should seriously consider further contributing to that important objective of our democracy. MultiChoice should consider the corporate social responsibility it has to the people of our country.”

On behalf of all Springbok Fans, we also ask that the access to the Springbok games should be for everyone. Give the people what they deserve!
